INFORMATION FOR PST EXEMPT CUSTOMERS

If you are entitled to claim an exemption from paying PST, the following must be provided at all locations of North Wellington Co-op at the point of sale:

1. A valid Farmer ID card issued by
OFA, CFFO, or NFU.
2. A valid
Purchase Exemption Certificate (PEC), (single-use, blanket or in conjunction with a purchase order). Forms are available by CLICKING HERE or at all branches.

As a supplier, North Wellington Co-op is required by law to charge PST on taxable goods and services at the point of sale, unless we are provided with one of the above forms. We are also required by law to maintain a record of all PECs and ID cards that are presented where no PST is charged.

PLEASE NOTE: We will make every effort to record your valid PEC or Card # on our system (as long as you have a customer #). Proof is required; without it we must charge PST. It is your responsibility to notify NWC when you are no longer eligible for this exemption.

If you have any questions, please speak to your local Branch Manager or you can view the most recent
RST Guide 204 (click here) and RST Guide 807 (click here).
